In this video, we’ll explore the scientific method for kids in a way that’s fun, clear, and perfect for upper elementary students. The scientific method is how scientists ask questions, test their ideas, and share what they discover. Now you can learn it too!

We’ll walk through all 8 steps of the scientific method, starting with asking a question, doing background research, and making a hypothesis. Then we’ll see how to plan and carry out a science experiment, collect data, analyze the results, and draw a conclusion. Finally, you’ll learn the importance of sharing your results with others. Along the way, you’ll hear easy-to-understand examples, like how plants grow in sunlight, that make each step simple to remember.

At the end of the lesson, you’ll get to play a quick review game to test what you’ve learned and see if you can match real science situations to the correct step in the process.

S3CS3 / S4CS3 / S5CS3 – Students use the skills of scientific inquiry, including asking questions, planning and carrying out investigations, making observations, and drawing conclusions.
