The Story:
Long ago, in the ancient court of Sri Lanka, there lived a prince named Neela. Because the royal queen had no children, the king adopted him as heir. Strong, clever, and ambitious, Neela grew into a leader, earning the trust of his father and the people.
But fate had darker plans.
When war threatened the land, Neela took up arms to defend his kingdom. He performed wonders, at one telling he lifted the seas to let his troops march, he defeated invaders and freed imprisoned citizens. Yet in a moment of restless curiosity, he ventured into a distant realm ruled by fierce women warriors.
There, ambition and hubris collided with tragedy. The women, captivated by him or angered by his intrusion, overwhelmed him brutally, tearing at his limbs and ending his life in violent rebellion. His body perished, but his spirit would not rest.
Cursed, reborn, or twisted by grief, Neela emerged as Kalu Kumaraya, the Dark Prince of Night. No longer guided by honor, he became a demon of seduction, vengeance, and despair.
In darkness, he waits for women alone, entering dreams like a lover but bearing a hidden blade in his will. He lures with ecstasy, making his prey plead for release, and then, cruelly, gives them what they wish for. In others, he strikes from within... infertility, miscarriage, illness without reason.
Still, some say he has not been banished forever. Because curses endure, and because the power of desire is eternal, Kalu Kumaraya drifts between realms, lurking at dusk. He is the prince that died, reborn as nightmare, seducer, destroyer.
You walk into the twilight. Heed the shadows, for in their folds lurks the Dark Prince. And at night, when dreams call sweetly, do not invite an embrace that becomes a curse!
