Rainy evening at SEPTA’s Levittown Station on the Trenton Line.
I heard that Conrail BS-02 was finishing up work around Bristol, so I decided to head over to Levittown to catch it running back to Morrisville.
Levittown Station is on the Northeast Corridor so you can expect the usual daily Amtrak & SEPTA trains as well as WPBS-02, a CSAO local.
Amtrak Acela 2207 gives a weak but friendly toot of the horn as it passes the station on track 2 on its way to NYC.
A short while later, BS-02 got the all clear from CTEC-7 to advance east to Morrisville.
What I didn’t expect was BS-02 to be coming east on track 3. From what I’ve seen it usually uses track 1 to head east. I’m not saying this is rare or anything, it’s just the first time that I’ve seen it.
You probably clicked on this video to see the SEPTA push-pull but I think BS-02 was the real catch here.
I’m not sure where they crossed over, but a few minutes later Northeast Regional 129 came through the station west on the same track 3.
SEPTA train 9736, express to Holmesburg Junction arrives at the station on track 1 on its way to the final stop in Trenton.
Apparently, the push-pulls were only back for a brief period. I can't say for sure because I wasn't keeping track of them. The day after this was recorded, Silverliner IV's were back on 9736.
Thanks for watching!
