DIY Skirt Sewing Tutorial Lace Mini | Draft your own pattern

Today I’m sharing a DIY skirt sewing tutorial that takes you through the full process of making your own lace mini skirt from scratch. No need to buy or download any pattern! I’ll start by showing you how to make a skirt pattern from your exact measurements, then move straight into sewing to turn it into a finished piece. If you’ve been wanting to level up your skills without relying on store bought patterns, this is such a fun place to start. By the end, you’ll have a custom fit skirt that you can proudly say you made yourself.

Materials:
1.5 - 2 meters lace fabric (min 130cm wide fabric). Needs lace border down selvedges
0.3 meters lining fabric (min 130cm wide fabric)
3cm wide elastic (your waist measurement + 5cm)

Pattern making tools:
Long ruler
Right angle ruler (you can use a book!)
Paper or card
Tape measure
