Kyoto, Ito, & Hakone 10.23-30.2025

Our second portion of our Japan trip consists of Kyoto, Ito, & Hakone! Each of these places added up to almost the same number of days we stayed in Osaka so I decided to just combine all of them in this vlog.

We stayed in a little quiet neighborhood of Kyoto and shared an apartment together (imagine F.R.I.E.N.D.S., but make it Japan lol). We did quite a bit of shopping, sightseeing, and doing a bit of dress-up!

Ito was definitely memorable... lets just say we accidently got split up on our journey there, but we all made it there in one piece. It was definitely less touristy and translation was harder, but the views, food, and ryokan experience was all worth it. Ito reminded me of Hawaii in some ways with the palm trees, beach, green hills, etc. Ito left a strong impression on this Japan trip!

Lastly, we have Hakone! It was more touristy than Ito, but nothing we couldn't handle. We spent a lot of time outdoors and touched some grass. We followed a route along a famous lake and stumbled upon a cable car that took us up to a hill (it was so worth it!). We saw Mount Fuji and Tokyo from afar, and we breathed in some crisp air -- something we definitely needed before we tackled our last portion of our trip: Tokyo.

Overall, super duper fun times and would experience it all over again!

New vocab acquired: Toire! Chotto matte! Watashi wa bejitariandesu! Hai!
