The stock triggers on the Ruger 22/45s are adequate and they can shoot accurately in their stock form. But this .22 pistol comes alive with a Volquartsen Mk II trigger kit and bushing. With this installed the gun shoots faster and more accurately. Here I install and narrate the Volquartsen trigger kit for a Mk III 22/45. Along the way I remove the detent from the bolt release (for quicker reloading) and drop in the Mk II bushing which eliminates the ridiculous magazine safety in the gun. With the magazine safety gone, field stripping is greatly simplified and the mags now drop free in reloads. Work is shown in detail and explained, including the positioning of pre and over travel trigger screws. The transformation to Mk II status and removal of the mag safety can be done separately without having to install a new trigger btw.
