In this talk, I share with the second cohort of The Gambia National Youth Service Graduate Program about the true meaning of leadership.
Being a leader in a country like The Gambia is not easy. Leaders face the heavy burden of trying to provide for the people while working with very limited resources. This often creates a cycle of poverty and weak leadership.
The way forward is through servant leadership a style of leadership that puts people first. True leaders are those who serve, not those who only seek power or personal gain.
We also touched on gender in leadership, highlighting how women often bring strong servant leadership qualities that can inspire positive change.
