Filmed in 2002, this video was a personal salute to celebrate Her Majesty’s Golden Jubilee; a task which took around 3 months to film and edit. Twenty years later we now celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee. Sawtry in 2002 had a population exceeding 6000 and a road-name list of over 100. Back in the 1900’s however, that figure was considerably lower: 900 residents and 15 roads. Featuring over 100 contributors, it documented history with a rare insight into village life. I thank everyone who was involved including those who were forced to participate through duress and constant badgering because without these wonderful people, this historic record would not exist.
