壮大なカルスト草原　秋吉台　Magnificent karst meadow Akiyoshidai

秋吉台は山口県美祢市に位置する国定公園で、石灰岩が点在する台地です。その成り立ちは三億五千万年前にまで遡ります。
秋吉台は元々珊瑚礁として古生代に形成されました。その後、大海原の海底に生息していた生物が化石となり、何億年もの時の流れの中で堆積し山となりました。
現在は、サイクリングやツーリング、ドライブの名スポットとして多くの観光客が訪れる観光地となっています。
悠久の時の流れの中で形成された壮大な風景をお楽しみください。

Akiyoshidai is a national park located in Mine City, Yamaguchi Prefecture, and is a plateau dotted with limestone.
Its origins date back to 350 million years ago.
Akiyoshidai was originally formed as a coral reef in the Paleozoic era.
After that, the creatures that lived on the ocean floor became fossils, and they accumulated and became mountains in the course of hundreds of millions of years.
Today, it is a tourist destination visited by many tourists as a famous spot for cycling, touring, and driving.
