Roberts, in her memoir Written in the Waters: A Memoir of History, Home, and Belonging, recounts her quest to uncover the mysteries of the Atlantic slave trade through the discovery of lost shipwrecks, while charting her way through a personal exploration of identity and heritage. Roberts’ work has earned her recognition as a National Geographic Explorer of the Year. This panel explores the power of women in science as they tackle some of the most profound and challenging mysteries in our world and beyond.
