Recommended points
1. There is a train from Kobe Electric Railway Arima Onsen Station, a regular large tourist bus from Hankyu Umeda Station, and multiple coin parking lots, all of which are convenient for a famous hot spring. I used the coin parking lot at Arima Onsen Station on the Rokko Arima Ropeway, which is closest to the waterfall. It costs 1200 yen a day on weekdays. There are several good parking lots in the hot spring town, but this is the closest to the ice waterfall, has few pedestrians, is spacious, and is easy to use.

2. There was not much snow on the day, but the slope froze quite quickly, so I put on light crampons early on. This is an essential item that bites firmly into the ice!

As soon as the Gokurakuchaya signs start to appear, the snow world starts to change and it's very beautiful😍. Ice forms where the dam is blocking the waterfall, and expectations for the frozen waterfall rise.

3. If you follow the latest mountain app GPS route, you will basically arrive at Nanamagari Falls, but

◯Please take photos and YouTube to learn how to distinguish between the famous "first detour sign, which you should take a detour on" and the "second detour sign, which you should climb over without taking a detour". Many people get lost because of this.

◯After climbing over the second detour sign, there are two dangerous forks⚠️ that can be dangerous if you make a mistake, and you will end up lost on a cliff where there is a history of slipping accidents. Please take photos and YouTube to learn about this as well.
◯The road to the waterfall is a "dangerous road that should be avoided", so once you pass the second Ukaiji sign, you are at your own risk, and there are no signposts or other signs. If you are a first-timer, don't be careless and just go right in while looking at your GPS because the altitude is low. Instead, be sure to do some research using past mountain app posts and my YouTube😅? and if possible, I recommend going with experienced people.

4. Just before the waterfall, there is a narrow, steep descent path (it's short) where you hold a rope and go down to the stream and cross by rocks for 100 to 200 meters. Please proceed slowly and carefully.

5. Finally, the ice waterfall! Enjoy the beauty of nature! 😍　
If you are planning to spend some time at the ice waterfall, such as taking a lunch break or taking a coffee break, please bring winter mountain wear like ski clothes and an aluminum sheet to put under your buttocks to block the cold air. You will definitely get a stomach ache😅. "※"Also, there are no toilets🚾 on the way or at the falls! 🥲 (There is a toilet🚾 at the ropeway station, but it is a private company that has nothing to do with mountain climbing, so if you use the toilet, buy something from the vending machine😅, so that they don't refuse climbers the toilet😊) Men, if you get cold at the waterfall, you can't hide in the shade...😅 As it is a waterfall basin, the surroundings are cliffs and the bottom of the basin is like a basin, so there is no place to hide😂 Maybe that's why? I stayed for a long time to take photos, but there are not many people who stay for lunch or other long periods😅

6. After the falls, you can enjoy the day trip hot springs ♨️ Kin no Yu and Gin no Yu, which are unique to Arima, and souvenirs & gourmet food. There are many things to enjoy, such as "fresh?" carbonated rice crackers with a 5-second expiration date that have a line even on weekdays, Arima-originated (Wilkinson) carbonated water, hot spring manju, Kobe beef croquettes, Arima beer, and more!
