I’ve been fortunate so far to know a lot of loves in my life. Dogs, my students, friends and family, my amazing husband, boba tea just to name a few. But my first true love involved a musical instrument called the marimba. It gave me a voice before I knew my own. It never judged me but also never lied to me. “Arrival”, one of the last solos out of my book Momentum, is my love letter to the instrument that helped me to discover who I am and also to all that enjoy the marimba just as much as I do.
