DQUARTZ – Auto Car Wash Ultimate Endurance Test

DO NOT try this at home. Automatic car washes are a guaranteed scratch fest. This is exactly why we decided to give DQUARTZ a proper test in this "hell of swirling sandpaper".

DQ is our newest development – a functionalized nanodiamond ceramic coat, which is able to increase surface hardness by up to 5 points (depending on the base hardness of the paint). This means that in contrast to silica coatings, it can resist light scratches and swirls entirely.

How we did the test:
1. Audi A4 B6 was fully polished before application of DQUARTZ.
2. 2 layers of DQ were applied to half of the bonnet.
3. Other half was left completely unprotected, freshly polished.
4. Car was not driven between the application and car wash visit.
5. Inspection was recorded immediately after the wash, no additional work was done, no products were used. Tape was initially stuck on to highlight the coated/non-coated boundary, later removed for better visual effect.
6. Editing was kept to only the bare essentials, so you can see the fullest real result.
