MY JOURNEY TO PHILIPPINES HAPPY ISLAND!
From Lucban, I took a long, winding route to Tabaco, the jump-off point for Catanduanes - my 80th province!
Narrow alleyways in Calauag, the last municipality of Quezon, to Daet, where I met Neng and Don who have a family farm! It was good to see how others operate!
Then onwards through the rain to Iriga and I finally ate at Biggs Diner!
Day 3 and I made the short hop to Tabaco Port in Albay; now, it was time to take on the ocean another time and visit the Happy Island - the largest producer of abaca in the world, and somewhere so rugged yet so beautiful.
I'm excited to explore Catanduanes even more...
