Join me as I travel to Southern Norway in search of two of Europe’s most elusive birds of prey—the golden eagle and the goshawk. With the seasons changing and the snow melting, finding and photographing these incredible raptors in their natural habitat was no easy task. But against the stunning backdrop of Norway’s forests, lakes, and mountains, I managed to capture both of them in just 24 hours!
Along the way, I also had the chance to photograph some of Norway’s other stunning wildlife, including red squirrels, great spotted woodpeckers, bullfinches, and crested tits.
Gear I Used:
📷 Sony A1 + 400mm f/2.8 GM – For incredible close-ups of the raptors
📷 Sony A1 + 70-200mm – Perfect for more versatile wildlife shots
🎥 GoPro Hero 12 – Capturing immersive behind-the-scenes action
🎥 DJI Pocket Osmo 3 – Vlogging the full adventure
🚁 DJI Mavic Pro 2 – Stunning aerial views of Norway’s landscapes
From breathtaking drone footage over icy rivers and vast woodlands to the thrill of finally locking eyes with a golden eagle, this was a wildlife photography trip I’ll never forget.
Will I get the shots I came for? Watch to find out!
