In this video, we introduce the divisor-sum function, sigma(n), which sums the divisors of n. In the next video we'll use (and eventually prove) a formula that expresses sigma(n) in terms of the prime factors of n.

This function is also sometimes denoted sigma_1(n), with the divisor counting function sigma_0(n).
