In this episode of the 'Shell-ebrate!' we are joined by Brea Salter (Downeast Institute), Annie Fagan (Maine Sea Grant), and Chris Davis (Maine Aquaculture Innovation Center) to learn about the life cycle and anatomy of bivalves (oysters, mussels, clams, and scallops). We also explore a bivalve hatchery and see how these critters are reared during the early stages of their lives! This is episode 2 of a 6-part mini series exploring Maine bivalve aquaculture and is part of MAIC's Bivalve Curriculum. The curriculum is designed for K-12 educators and can be accessed at this link: https://learn.maineaquaculture.org/bi...
