Mt. Tasman via Mt. Lendenfeld and the north shoulder
We waited and hunted down a little weather window for a few cloudless days in January... and we got rewarded with an empty hut and the whole mountain to ourselves amidst spectacular views.
The wind was manageable during our camp/climb but had 50-60km/h gusts the days before and after. The snow conditions were ok-ish high up on Tasman and very early - but of course way soft in the middle of the hot summer days.
Thank you to our friendly Fox & Franz Heli Services pilot for coming to pick us up right before the storm!
