“Above The Northern Lights”, Mnt Dulcimer cover of the Mannheim Steamroller piece by Chip Davis & Ed Wilson. This song moved me deeply the moment I first heard it years ago on their Christmas Album and continues to do so even now.
Played on a Goldtone Dulciborn Hybrid Mountain Dulcimer tuned C-g-c, capoed at 1st fret and liberal use of it’s natural harmonics. Accompanied by 17 key Newlam Kalimba. Old school recorded on a Zoom H2n set slightly off-center of a Fishman Loudbox amp using its onboard EQ and Reverb & alternating the time control. Audio mixed via Logic Pro. Live shots on an iPhone 11. (Yeah, I know. It’s old. 😉) Edited in iMovie.
