Downtown Nha Trang was only a short mini-bus or cyclo ride north along the South China Sea beach form Camp McDermott. It has evolved from a mid-size town to a thriving city in the five decades since we were stationed nearby. In this historic video you'll see the scenic beauty, the Vietnamese people and the bustling business of the town in 1967. Most of us soldiers would patronize the restaurants, the shops, the bars and the USO during our brief time in this area. I can remember a favorite French restaurant with Lobster Newburg for only about a dollar. Delicious! Enjoy!
