Ep 24 Using selvages / selvedges to make a cushion | Sewing vlog

This week's video is all about using selvages, or selvedges - those thin strings of fabric from the ends of the fabric where you can find information about the designer and the name of the fabric. I've been saving selvages now for a while and this week I found the perfect project. I've used my selvages to make a cushion cover, and it was such a fun little project to make! I got lost in exploring all the different designs and piecing them together.

It feels good to use those scraps of fabric instead of throwing them away, and this project is made entirely from scraps, even down to the wadding. If you're looking for a little scrap busting project, then this might be the one for you!

It turned out to be a colourful, cheerful little cushion, and I hope you enjoy seeing the process.
