This is Pennsylvania Boulevard. It is a wonderful historic neighborhood in Mt. Lebanon threatened by a proposed massive development.
The proposed development would replace all the mature trees with a single contiguous row-house for 300+ feet consisting of 13 units, no yards, surrounded on three sides by large retaining walls.
This proposed development violates many zoning ordinances and required variances and waivers to Mt. Lebanon ordinances. Local government is there to protect the integrity of the community. Developers, like homeowners, should follow and maintain Mt. Lebanon’s standards.
Now it is up to our elected Commissioners to decide. Commissioners, please wait for a more suitable development, enforcing the spirit and letter of Mt. Lebanon’s ordinances.
