A laid back fall drive through a 'hidden' area, the north flank of Grand Mesa, Colorado. The reason I say 'hidden is because the north flank of Grand Mesa is hidden by mountains between Grand Mesa and I-70, so these areas cannot be seen from Rifle or anywhere along I-70, the main road north of Grand Mesa.
Starting in Rifle, we head east to the start of the road going up into the mountains on the north flank of Grand Mesa, through some switchbacks on a true back road, and finally to the beautiful town of Collbran. A real time fall drive on a beautiful fall day.
