A one day adventure in the life of Kate Gierke. Why this one? Flew to California (with left over flight credit) to get a job. What ended up happening? While writing on the flight... I decided that I needed to visit my grandma before settling in one place. So, I rented a car, sat in the parking lot of Trader Joes, eating strawberries and contemplating life, then drove to Joshua Tree. That night, I slept in the car, then watched the sunrise at Joshua Tree, and decided to catch the sunset elsewhere. So, during the heat of the day, I drove 6 hours to the Grand Canyon and made it just before sunset. This was too beautiful not to experience again, so I slept in the car and stayed for sunrise the following day before returning to California to drop off the car and make my way to see my grandma...
