Nikon 500mm f 5 6G ED PF VR is a new super telephoto prime lens from Nikon which introduced in Sep.2018. Soon this lens was in most Wildlife & sport photographers wish list. But I saw very few review of this lens, specially for Wildlife & Bird photography. Its a superb lens for a subject like wildlife which need a light lens to carry entire day in the field. This lens is outcome of Nikon’s New Phase Fresnel (PF) Lens Technology, which make lens so light. Nikon 500mm f/5.6G ED PF VR is only 1450 gm which is same as weight of Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8 lens. So it will esy me to shoot birds in flight, running animals shooting handheld.
I shoot with this lens in Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve, Maharashtra, Thattekkad Bird Sanctuary, Kerala & Jim Corbett Tiger Reserve, Uttarakhand.
