An Evening with Rivers Cuomo

Many of the fans recognized each other from previous Weezer and Rivers Cuomo concerts concerts. One fan even dressed up as Red Album Rivers, complete with cowboy hat and blue shirt, as Rivers wore on the 2008 album cover, which even Rivers got a kick out of, saying “Yes! I love anybody in costume…” (~0:30 before Everybody Wants to Rule the World). After the show, Rivers talked with all of the fans and took pictures, which was nice. Rivers also autographed my CD, which was nice.

August Hall is a new live music venue that just opened earlier this year in May. It has a capacity of 750-1000, with a large balcony. Rivers later joked with a fan on that balcony who said she loved him, to which he pointed to her and responded dramatically “Juliet!” :P (~1:50 before 'All The Small Things')

Cuomo (before ‘All the Small Things ): "I'm trying out this Blink 182 song, so let me know on Snapchat if it's any good"

"How's my mom? She's okay. How’s your mom?"

“I thought there was going to be more smoke (fog effects) up here… No smoke for Rivers.” (Some fans then proceeded to light up and blow smoke on stage, which made everybody laugh lol)

(before ‘Africa’): You guys deserve something special tonight… We’re going to take this boat on a voyage… to the Southern Hemispere! :P

I'll take (my hat) off if you're a good crowd. (Rivers took it off at the end of the last song, lol)
