Psychotherapist, Stephanie Van, LCSW, guides a loving kindness meditation to cultivate compassion for self and others. This is a shortened version of a Buddhist loving kindness meditation with adaptations from somatic therapy techniques.
This meditation can be done sitting, lying, or standing. Eyes can be either closed or open, cast down and passively looking at the few feet in front of you.
