Byron Bay, located at the northern end of the North Coast of New South Wales, Australia, is a small town famous for its beaches and lighthouse. The "Cape Byron" within the town is the easternmost point of the Australian mainland. The name Byron Bay was given by Captain Cook in honor of the grandfather of a poet; the elder Byron had traveled the world by sea.
