Stage 1: Coarse Grinding (Shaping)
1. Attach a coarse diamond burr or sanding drum to your mini rotary tool.
2. Work on shaping the stone and removing rough surfaces.
3. Keep stone wet while grinding (dip in water or spray) to reduce heat and dust.
4. Smooth out the big bumps and create a rough form.
Stage 2: Medium Grinding (Smoothing
1. Switch Rough sanding bit (around #40,60,150,240 grit).
2. Smooth the surface further, removing scratches from the coarse stage.
3. Keep stone wet to avoid overheating and cracking.
Stage 3: Fine Sanding
1. Use fine grit sanding bits (400,600,800 grit).
2. Go over the entire surface evenly to make it smooth and ready for polishing.
3. You can also use sanding sticks or papers for tight spots
Stage 4: Pre- Polish
1. Switch to very fine sanding or polishing pads (1000,2000,3000,5000 grit).
2. Slowly polish the stone, keeping it wet.
3. The jasper should start showing shiny spots, especially on raised areas.
Stage 4 : Final Polish
