This composition by the late great Filipino composer Nicanor Abelardo is one of my most favorite. I've played a different guitar arrangement before and this time, I tried out Ric's arrangement from his book GUITAR MUSIC OF THE PHILIPPINES (available on Amazon). The flow and sequence follow the original music, but there are lot of fun and great passages that sound unique to the guitar.

"Nasaan ka irog" (or irog) means "Where are you, my love/darling" in English, expressing longing and a broken heart, often stemming from a lost or forbidden love, as in the 1933 kundiman by Nicanor Abelardo. The phrase conveys sadness and helplessness, with the "irog" serving as a term of endearment for the beloved.
