Farhang Foundation proudly presented its 15th Annual Celebration of Nowruz with a spectacular NOWRUZ CONCERT at UCLA’s iconic Royce Hall on March 9, 2025.
This unforgettable evening marked the triumphant return of the incomparable Mahdieh Mohammadkhani to the Los Angeles stage after a decade-long absence, mesmerizing the audience with her powerful voice and deep emotional artistry.
Sharing the stage was international opera sensation Cameron Shahbazi, one of the world’s leading countertenors, who made his highly anticipated Los Angeles debut, captivating hearts with his unique and hauntingly beautiful voice.
Additional renowned soloists included: Sheng-Ching Hsu, Aeen Meshkatian, Tara Pirayandeh, Naghme Sarang and Tigran Zakaryan.

The extraordinary Iranshahr Orchestra was presented, under the brilliant direction of maestro Shahab Paranj, delivering a breathtaking performance that fused tradition with innovation in celebration of the Iranian New Year.

This concert was presented in collaborations with the UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music and UCLA's Gramian-Emrani Center for Iranian Music.
