Lord of Mysteries Episode 13 is devastating, heartbreaking, and unforgettable.
Klein, Leonard, and Captain face their toughest challenge yet against Miss Megose and the spawn of the True Creator even with the power of Saint Selena’s ashes. Desperation forces Captain and Klein to combine their powers, but it comes at a terrible cost: Captain sacrifices himself, and Klein is cut down by the mysterious Ince Zangwill, the Beyonder who orchestrated everything from the shadows.
Just when it seems like all hope is lost, Klein awakens once more, realizing Captain was the true target all along. The episode ends on a bittersweet note, as Klein, disguised as a clown visits his family and leaves flowers for Melissa. Easily one of the most powerful moments in the entire series so far.
