This video, is some of the most difficult footage to get because of the challenges associated with it. To get loons in flight you typically need to be in a kayak and positioned very far away from them because they "run on water" for great lengths to get airborne. This introduces a haling with keeping focus at such a great distance, not to mention handholding the camera in a kayak at the same time.
