Graham talks us through the special challenges of restoring the garboards, floors, and finishes of the Ship's Boat from Plimouth Patuxet Museums in Massachusetts. This boat has served as an exhibit for our visitors, but also has been a good boat for our apprentices to cut their teeth on. Here it is in a nearly complete state. Just floorboards to build, and then she'll go back to Plimouth Patuxet.

A National Historic Landmark and working museum, Lowell’s is dedicated to preserving and perpetuating the art and craft of wooden boat building. In our boatbuilding and shop update videos, we're hoping to take you inside our living museum where we build new boats for clients, restore boats for other museums, and provide a space for events and on-the-water programs for all ages. Our museum is open for guided and self-guided tours. Visit http://lowellsboatshop.com/ to see how you can become a member, attend a program, or get involved in boatbuilding workshops.
