Indonesia aims to get its new capital in East Kalimantan up and running later this year. The government has bold plans for Nusantara, including building it to be carbon neutral by 2045.
Nusantara National Capital Authority Chairman Bambang Susantono said Indonesia envisions its new capital to be the first city in the country to achieve net zero. The development of a new city in the middle of Indonesia is expected to be the catalyst for greater economic distribution particularly in the eastern part of Indonesia, he said in this episode of ADB SEADS's Experts Talk Solutions, as he expounds on how the government will proceed with the new capital's development.
