Cooking with Kat: Candied Pecans

Adapted from the Minimalist Baker
Ingredients:
• 2 cups raw pecans
• 1 1/2 Tbsp. melted coconut oil or neutral oil
• 1 Tbsp. sugar
• 1 tsp ground cinnamon
• 1/4 tsp sea salt (optional)
• 2 Tbsp. maple syrup (divided)
Instruction:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
2. To a mixing bowl add pecans, oil, sugar, cinnamon, salt, and 1 Tbsp. of the maple syrup.
3. Toss to coat.
4. Put mixture evenly on parchment lined sheet pan.
5. Bake for a total of 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and fragrant, tossing/stirring once at the halfway point. Then remove from oven and immediately drizzle with remaining 1 Tbsp. of maple syrup. Stir to combine.
6. Let dry/cool completely on the pan so they crisp up.
7. Store in airtight container.
