The Arts-et-Métiers district is the 9th administrative district of Paris, located in the 3rd arrondissement. It owes its name to the National Conservatory of Arts and Crafts, which is situated in this area.
Most of its territory corresponds to the northern part of the land formerly belonging to the Abbey of Saint-Martin-des-Champs, which was urbanized at the beginning of the 13th century to create the village of Saint-Martin-des-Champs.
Part of the district is the oldest Asian quarter in Paris.
