Leon Russell IS Underground 12 album LSD 1966

Here is side 2 of what is probably the rarest of Leon Russell's recordings that he made over seven decades in music! Almost a year after first taking LSD (Lysergic acid diethylamide) in October 1965 when it was still legal, Leon and his friends decided to record themselves as Underground 12 playing around while tripping in Leon's home studio at 7709 Skyhill Drive, Hollywood. On October 6, 1966 LSD was classified as a Schedule I drug under the Drug Abuse Control Amendment and made illegal. This video shows proof that Underground 12 WAS Leon Russell. On October 24, 1966 Leon filed with the State of California to conduct business in Suite C at 12457 Ventura Blvd using the name Underground 12. The Notary Public that signed and sealed the certificate was Audrey Porter, and her commission expired coincidentally on April 2, 1970,,, Leon's birthday! He, JJ Cale and friends had already made the psychedelic album A Trip Down Sunset Strip, as the Leathercoated Minds. This latest project was way more far out as instruments and voices were experimented with as the hallucinogenic, lysergic acid diethylamide (still legal at the time) pulsed through their blood and brains. Simply titled LSD, it was the only album of its kind made. In search of outlets to sell the album, Leon found a Michigan State University underground newspaper. A full page ad for the album appeared on page 5 of the October 20, 1966 issue of The Paper (out of East Lansing) which was founded by student Michael Kindman in 1965. As reprinted in part on the back of a reissued vinyl pressing by Patrick Lundborg in Sweden, the address to order the album in 1966 for $5 on an order form was Underground 12, 12457 Ventura Blvd, Suite C, Studio City, California... where Leon filed to do business out of!
Side 1 of the album is on this YouTube channel and has more bits and pieces of studio fun! It reveals a Joey Cooper single written by Leon and produced by him and Don Nix, using parts of this LSD album as the intro.
