Mojo Yarn + Walt’s Worm = My Secret Weapon

You know those moments when you suddenly decide to go fishing… and you realise you need a few quick, reliable flies? Or maybe you're heading to a new river and you're not sure what will work? Well, in those moments, I reach for one of my secret weapons — the simple, tapered nymphs I’ve always called "carrots." Only later did I realise they’re known by most fly fishers as Walt’s Worms.

In the past, I tied them with simple dubbing — and they worked fine. But over the last two years, I’ve switched completely to using Mojo Yarn, and I haven’t looked back.

Why?
