Changey Falls, the highest fall in North Bengal, has brought enchantment to the area's picturesque hamlets. Changey Falls is located in Lingsaykha Khasmahal in the West Bengali district of Kalimpong, around 4 kilometres from Kolakham and 10 km from the hamlet of Lava. From the last motorable point, a 900 m hike along a small walking track will bring you there at Chnagey Fall. The waterfall features a number of viewing platforms. The outstanding example of natural scenic beauty is Changey Fall, which is 14 km from the Lava and offers a stunning panoramic view of Mt. Khangchendzongha adjacent to Neora Valley National Park. The journey to this peaceful and magical Changey Fall is a mini-adventure in and of itself. The atmosphere is heavenly because to the various chirps of beautiful Himalayan birds like the Indian Robin, White-capped Water Redstart, Verditer Flycatcher, Niltava, Blue Fronted Redstart, and Blue Whistling Thrush. Changey Fall's breathtaking beauty can be enjoyed all year round.

One of the most beautiful waterfalls in the Kalimpong area and one of the top tourist destinations in Lava is Changey Falls. You can reach #ChangeyFalls from Lava after a one-hour four-wheel drive. Around 4 miles separate Changey Falls and Kolakham. From the last motorable point, it is 900 metres on foot to the falls. The juxtaposition between the extreme quiet and the powerful waterfall sound is beautiful. There are no buses operating along this route, either public or private. So, in order to visit the falls, tourists must hire a cab. The environment developed here at Changey Falls, which is similar to the kind you read about in stories, would enchant any travel addict. Despite the sound made by the splash of water, there is still plenty of peace, and the rich green flora and animals make it even more pleasant. The greenery absorbs the water that is falling.

Because of Changey Falls' tremendous beauty, visitors can enjoy it all year long. Changey Falls can be visited at any time of the day, therefore there is no set time to go there. Visit this waterfall between 6 am in the morning and 5 pm before sunset to really experience its beauty. However, due to the hazardous driving conditions and numerous landslides, monsoon season should be avoided.
From June through September, the region is dominated by the monsoon season. The summer months of March through June, when the weather is beautiful and the roads are still passable, are said to be the most suitable. There is admission charge to see this waterfall and its only Rs. 20/- per head.

If you are coming from Dooars, you have to hire a cab to reach here. It will take around 3.5-4 hours. Following is the route : 𝑩𝒂𝒈𝒅𝒐𝒈𝒓𝒂 / 𝑵𝑱𝑷 / 𝑫𝒐𝒐𝒂𝒓𝒔 - 𝑫𝒂𝒎𝒅𝒊𝒎 - 𝑮𝒐𝒓𝒖𝒃𝒂𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒏 - 𝑳𝒂𝒗𝒂 - 𝑲𝒐𝒍𝒂𝒌𝒉𝒂𝒎 - 𝑪𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒆𝒚 𝒇𝒂𝒍𝒍.

Before getting to the Lava monastery, turn right. A checkpoint will be present. Its a entry point for Neora Valley National Park. Pay Rs. 120/- per head per person to enter. Two famous offbeat destination in North Bengal is Kolakham and Lungchu. And Changey Falls is near to Kolakham and within Neora Valley Nation Park jungle area.

The distance is 8 KM from the checkpoint to Kolakham.
It is 6 KM from Kolakham to Changey Falls.
