Waffle, the loveable, talking poodle is back! And it doesn’t take much for our accident-prone pup to upset Mrs Hobbs next door (innocently flooding her kitchen, for starters) whilst getting naively mixed up with new-dog-on-the-block and resident troublemaker, Jelly. As Mrs Hobbs takes up new hobbies (roller disco and skiing) to step away from the doggy disasters on her doorstep, she finds it impossible to genuinely fill the gap that exists in her life. Doug and Evie’s life unfolds alongside Waffle’s school ambitions as their warm and wonderful blended family expands. Doug’s Mum, Zoe, introduces her new partner Callum and we meet Zoe’s parents, the loveable Gram and Grand. But it is Evie’s questions and quest to know more about her birth Dad, Nate, which provide the dramatic backbone to the series.
