In Paul Bartel’s Cannonball! (1976), Coy's car is a bright red 1970 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am that anchors the race action. Two matching cars play the role, unified with a blue center stripe edged in yellow, rally numbers, and small contingency decals so every angle reads as the same machine. The early second generation shape, shaker scoop, and deep front spoiler give it a lean, purposeful stance that pops in wide highway frames.
