Single segment speedrun on hard difficulty in 31:40.
Played on real hardware without using any cheats, slowdowns or savestates.
After almost a year and countless hours of routing, practicing and recording, I finally got a run that broke the 32 min mark. Apart from Mission 12, where I took a hit from a alien due to a badly timed jump, everything went really smooth and I'm very pleased with the outcome of the run.
This run is also faster than the old TAS by Exilant. With some changes in the route and better ammo conservation, I managed to save almost 1½ minutes of gameplay, which is something I never thought I would achieve when I first started to play this game. Exilant's run definitely served as an inspiration though, and I also wanna thank Youtube user JohnX895, who made a full playthrough of the game that showcased a couple of secret ammo stashes that I didn't know of.
