This pistol is literally a relic of the U.S. vs. Soviet cold war. The CZ-52 was one of the Czechoslovakian standard military sidearms. It fires the 7.62 x 25mm cartridge. It is the essence of simplicity and shoots very well. Like most Soviet block weapons it lacks in the area of finish. The Soviet influence can be seen in the value of function above form. If a smooth finish is required for it to operate, they will do it. If it isn't, they don't care! It's also cheaper and less time consuming to mass produce if you don't give a crap how it looks! Even so, I love to shoot this gun. And although its utilitarian, its far from the ugliest gun I've ever seen.
