Week Ending November 15, 2025
Before a forecast for freezing temperatures (the freezing didn’t occur), I remove the mildewy basil from the Small Tunnels GH1 & GH2 and yank the spent lettuce from the Big Tunnel, plus remove flexible hoses, splitter valves, and water timers for winter storage. I move the two mint pots and three buckets of Tulameen raspberry seedlings inside GH1. Meanwhile, I pick up a shipment of Azure Standard bulk food at the barge and a Full Circle Farm box at the airport, and stop by the library to pick up another fantasy book entitled Uprooted by Naomi Novik and comment on the previous book that I read, Circe by Madeline Miller. I revisit the inventory of carrots harvested from the garden & stored in the fridge and decide that I won’t sell any at the monthly market on Saturday. I repair my favorite sweater that I wear on jetboating trips and in the garden, sewing up the gaping holes in the armpits and hemming the sleeves.
