WKC Road Race, TaG IAME, 13 April 2025, Summit Point Jefferson Circuit

Ok, Sunday race! Although the morning was still pretty cold, the track has dried out and we are able to get a better feel for the track. This one has some pretty significant bumps you have to work through, and I provide a really good tutorial of how NOT to do that on the first lap. But it is a great track, particularly the section on the hill and the last turn. If you don't want to watch it all, the action is basically in the first two laps. I was 4th on the grid, led into turn one, was in 6th after the first lap, and back to 3rd after the second lap! After that I'm basically solo, but that was ok because I finally started to feel like I could attack the track and my lap times steadily dropped all the way through. The leader lapped me on the final lap, but I still feel ok about my speed in the second half of the race. More work to do, but we will take a 3rd and move on to NCCAR in May!
