Dharma acid dyes in Dark Navy, Cabernet, and Forest Green
Weigh out 1.5 g of each color and dissolve in a non-specific amount of liquid (~1/2 cup)
[2:04] The yarn
300 g KnitPicks Hawthorne fingering weight yarn
presoaked in plain tap water for ~60 min
[2:51] Diluting the dyes
Make sure the dye is dissolved and creating more volume to add to the project.
[3:42] Dyeing the saturated yarn
[9:39] Adding acid
Add 5 T white vinegar
[10:39] Heading the yarn to set the colors
on the stovetop
[11:37] Flipping the yarn and adding a bit more color
Heat for 20 minutes
[14:44] Using up leftover dye
