In this video we will see about How To Make Automatic ON/OFF Rechargeable Solar Street Light easily at home. A simple school science project that you can easily make using the 3V solar panel, LED light and few other components.

To start building this automatic solar street light you will need the below materials:

1. 5V - 6V Solar panel
2. 3.7V Rechargeable Battery (may use battery from any old phone as well)
3. 10K ohms Resistor
4. 1N4007 Diode
5. BC547 Transistor
6. LED Light (3V-4V)
7. On/Off Switch (Optional)
8. Glue Gun
9. Soldering Iron, Soldering LEAD and soldering paste
10. Wires
11. Any other materials as per your design.(in my case, a PVC pipe, 5mm plastic tubes and a waste door bush etc..)

Firstly, make the connections as explained in the video. Circuit diagram for this automatic solar light is also given in the video so please watch the video without skipping so it will help you to make the connections and complete the project successfully. Once the connection is done it is up to you that how you want it to be exhibited like using the light pole for street light or you want to use it as automatic emergency solar light or automatic solar lantern or you may also use it for the school science solar light project.

Working of this automatic solar street light is very simple. When the sunlight(solar rays) falls on the solar panel, It will automatically recharge the connected battery and stores the energy to use when sunlight is gone and Light will be automatically turned OFF while the battery is charging. So like wise, when sunlight is gone, Light will be automatically turned ON and battery stops charging and starts discharging. That is the concept.
