Our retelling of the classic Scottish ballad, "The Twa Corbies" done crankie style.
Lyrics:
As I was walking out all alone,
I heard two ravens clatter and moan
Up spoke the first, to the other did say,
"Where shall we dine - field or forest today?"
The other croaked back, "This way to our meal,
Through thicket and scrub, a body concealed,
Under that hawthorn, hidden from view,
A scoundrel lies cooling, his blood runs anew."
"Nobody knows that he's lying there,
Except for his dogs and a lady fair
The hounds set to howling while they sit and wait,
The lady's departed, left him to his fate."
"I'll take my perch upon his naked thigh,
While you are plucking his bonny blue eye
We'll snatch a bunch of his yellow hair,
To line our nest against cold winter air."
As I was walking out all alone,
I heard two ravens clatter and moan
Up spoke the first, to the other did say,
"Where shall we dine - field or forest today?"
