I shot this because I was disgusted with the poor quality of "generic motorcycle stator swap" videos on YouTube. Unfortunately I had no camera operator helping so hopefully you get the idea of where everything is. For the rest of the Virago video posters out there a) All 535 Viragos are NOT the same. b) All motorcycle stators are NOT the same. c) Quit uploading fixit videos for 1 model bike and saying that they apply to every model out there. You don't own my bike and you don't know what changes the manufacturer made in it. d) Wiring in different bike stators is DIFFERENT. e) Stator mounting in different bikes IS DIFFERENT. f) Learn how to use an impact driver on screws. Lastly, I ended up replacing this stator as after a week it's power output dropped about .5-.8 volts, most likely due to the windings "bedding in" that is, most likely to some of the windings starting to short against each other as they were not immobilized with lacquer or epoxy over the windings.
